There are many resources for support for breast cancer patients and survivors. The Internet will yield myriad resources. Web sites like www.y-me.org and chat rooms let you share your feelings and discuss treatment with other patients. There are also toll-free support groups and information hotlines. Cancer Care Inc. (1-800-813-4673) and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (1-800-462-9273) have hotlines. Many communities have local support groups for cancer patients, survivors and their family members. Don't be afraid to reach out to breast cancer survivors. They've all been where you are, and are more than willing to offer a friendly ear or to share advice.
